Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As you can see at the top of this page, we have a new logo. Its components are made of mountains – the Galilee mountains (we are located in the center of the Galilee and our vision is to serve the people of the Galilee). The Olive tree, that is so common in the Galilee and is full of Biblical symbolism from the Old and New Testaments, fits our name: “The Way”, and indeed Yeshua is the way the truth and the life. There is no other way to get to God the Father, and we pray that we can be like the Olive Tree – faithful, with fruit that produces good oil for people around us, lighting their way to God. Newsletter for February 2007
“Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.” Acts 9:31 NIV
We thank God for such periods in which we can be built up and walk in the fear of the Lord, to grow in numbers and to be encouraged by the Holy Spirit. Our prayer is that God will give us wisdom to make the most of these times.
Good problems and new challenges
Since moving to the new building, many new people have been coming to our Saturday meetings. Some bless us with a one time visit and others stay with us longer term. At the moment we are about 50 households, which include some 70 adults and 40 children and youth. We thank God for His blessings. Some of the new people are new believers, some are believers that followed the Lord in the past, fell away, and have now returned to the Lord, and others are believers that have decided to make our congregation their home. The War
We thank God that this war is behind us. Our members have all gone through the war without being physically hurt, and we thank God for that. Yet the experience was shocking. Some of the people, at different times during the war; have left the Galilee to safer places.
During the war the Hezbollah shot around 4,000 rockets on the northern part of Israel, about 176 fell within Karmiel, yet 1000 fell within the city limit of Kiryat Shmona. Continue reading

Shalom prayer partners,
We are in the fourth week of fighting in Lebanon. So far more then 150 rockets hit Karmiel; Maalot was hit by many more, and the rockets keep coming, even now as we are writing this letter. The damage to buildings is quite bad, but we hear story after story, and some of us have experienced personally, how God protects. In one case, we heard of a believer in Haifa, which was driving his car and was about 80 meters (80 yards) from a place where one of the big rockets fell. Those rockets are filled with explosives and more then 40 Kg. (about 100 Lbs.) of little metal balls that fly everywhere and hurt people. The rocket did great damage as it exploded. One of the small balls hit the front windshield, right where his head was; it made a hole in the window and fell on the floor. God protects His people! Please continue to pray for protection.
