Summer and Holidays
Well the long summer is over, and the temperature has slowly begun to subside. However the rains have not come yet and we desperately need water. The children went to their various Keitanot (summer camps) and now they are back at school.
The High Holidays are also over and now things are back to normal.
We had special services for “The day of trumpet” (Rosh Ha Shanna) and Sukkot; we built a nice Sukka in and outside the Kehila building. And the children had fun decorating it. On Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) we met in each others houses to fast and pray. Continue reading

Running after the prize
In this time when the biggest competition of the world is taking place ”the Mondial”, and the race after the prize - the golden cup, it’s good to be reminded about the word of God. In 1 Tim. 4:6-10 Paul is writing to Timothy and encouraging him to train, but to do so in godliness, and in verse 10 he said that for this they labor and strive. In col. 2: 14-15 Paul remind us that God has won the victory through Christ and reminds us what He has done on the cross. In this victory He disarmed the powers and authorities, and presents them in his triumphal parade. What a wonderful God we have, and what wonderful promises we have, so we can lean on Him, and on what He has done for us. Continue reading

A time of changes
In mid October we dedicated our daughter Congregation – Shaar HaEmek. A few families moved there to start the new Congregation, which left us in some shortage. One of our greatest prayer requests is that we could quickly fill in the gap created with the departure of Shaar HaEmek; that more people could take upon themselves the jobs, the tasks and chors, that should be taken (Shabbat school teachers, kitchen ministry, more people for the Praise Ministry, translation etc’). Please continu to remember the new leadership team; we try to meet biweekly for prayer and discussions about Congregation affairs. Continue reading
